| ECE 451a/b Communication Electronics II | 
| Design and analysis of electronic circuits used for communications. Theory of analog and digital communications in the presence of noise. Radio propagation fundamentals for wireless communica-tions, digital radio systems. Extension of the topics in ECE 370a/b. | 
| Antirequisite: The former ES 451a/b | 
| Prerequisite: Completion of third year of the Electrical Engineering program or permission of the Department, ECE 370a/b or ECE 435a/b or the former ES 435a/b. | 
| Corequisites: ECE 432a/b, ECE 437a/b. | 
| 2 lecture hours, 1 laboratory hour, half course. |
