Course Description

CEE 433a/b Communications Systems

An introduction to telecommunications and information systems technology. Digital communications and modern telecommunication systems and network architectures are emphasized in the course. The course covers a variety of topics such as information theory and coding, transceiver design, performance analysis under noisy conditions, spread spectrum and multiple access, network/system architectures, system/network modeling.

Co-requisite: ECE 451a/b.
Prerequisite: Statistical Sciences 241a/b, Applied Mathematics 376a/b or the former Applied Mathematics 371a.
