Social Work 204 Introduction to Social Work Practice

An historical and philosophical perspective on Social Work practice; a detailed analysis of the dynamic interplay among client system, environment and social work interventions in the context of the knowledge base, purpose, functions, focus and values of Social Work. (Required for admission to the Social Work program.)

Antirequisites: The former Social Work 150, 201, and 250a.
Prerequisite: Social Work 020.
3 lecture/laboratory hours.
