Religious Studies 231E Law, Morality, and Religion

An examination of the interrelationships of law, morality and religion. Topics include: the Western legal tradition as an expression of the Judeo-Christian religious and moral traditions; juridical reasoning and moral reasoning; Canadian Charter of Rights judgments as moral arguments; criminality and immorality; and the evolution of the natural law tradition.

Antirequisite: Religious Studies 165F.
