Psychology 340F/G Development of Thinking in Children

The basic question in cognitive development is "How does thinking change?". Infants begin with basic understandings allowing them to make sense of the world. These change as the infant progresses through childhood and adolescence. This course will investigate change in areas such as language, memory, and problem solving.

Antirequisite: The former Psychology 342E.
Prerequisites: Psychology 022E plus 240a/b or 241 and registration in third or fourth year of honors psychology; or Psychology 020 and 280 plus 240a/b or 241 and registration in third or fourth year of honors psychology. General students and special students who receive 70% in the prerequisites may enrol in this course. Others may take this course only with the permission of the Department.
4 lecture hours, half course.
