Course Description

Political Science 421E Global Environmental Politics

A comprehensive survey of the major issues, ideas, institutions and actors that make up the global politics of the environment. Topics include climate change, ozone layer depletion, deforestation, biodiversity, international institutions, non-governmental organizations, developing countries, women, indigenous peoples and the relationship between the global economy and the environment.

Antirequisite: Political Science 495E taken in 1999-2000.
Prerequisite: Political Science 231E
