Course Description

Mathematics 030 Calculus and Linear Algebra

Calculus including elementary techniques of integration, applications such as area, volume, probability; functions of several variables, Lagrange multipliers. Linear algebra including vectors and matrices, linear equations, determinants.

Antirequisites: Calculus 050a/b, 051a/b, 081a/b, Linear Algebra 040a/b, the former Applied Mathematics 022, 025a/b, 026, the former Applied Mathematics 212a, 213b, the former Applied Mathematics 214a/b, Mathematics 031, 203b, 283b, the former Applied Mathematics 020, 023a/b 024a/b, the former Mathematics 027, 202a.
Prerequisite: OAC Calculus or Mathematics 012a/b or the former Grade 13 Calculus.
