| English 259E Shakespeare and His Contemporaries (Survey) |

The study of selected works by Shakespeare and some of his contemporaries in relation to theatrical, social, and historical contexts. Histories, comedies, and tragedies will be included. |
| Antirequisite: English 232E and 260F/G |
| Prerequisite: At least 60% in a 020-level English course, and at least 60% in all subsequent English courses, or permission of the department. |
