Course Description

Zoology 455a Advanced Practical Microscopy

A practical and theoretical introduction to modern applications of microscopic techniques to cell biology. Techniques discussed and applied will include confocal and interference contrast microscopy, in situ cytochemistry, scanning electron microscopy and freeze fracture.

Prerequisite: Biology 326a or permission of the Department.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
