Sociology 316F/G Demographic Change and Human Resources

The components of demographic change (fertility, mortality, migration) and their impact on the Canadian labor force. The focus is on education, work and retirement in the life course, along with associated social policy with respect to education, training, employment, equity, social security and pensions.

Antirequisite: The former Sociology 301F/G.
Prerequisite: Sociology 020 or 021E and enrolment in third or fouth year Sociology or in third or fourth year of the BA (ACS) or BACS program or in third or fourth year of the Urban Development Program..
3 hours, half course.
