Course Description

Psychology 315F/G Perceptual Development

Examination of the development of sensory and perceptual capabilities. Emphasis on basic visual and auditory development, including visual acuity, colour vision, depth perception, auditory sensitivity and speech perception. Discussion of how the study of abnormal development can contribute to an understanding of the normal developmental process.

Prerequisites: Psychology 215a/b or the former 211E, 212a/b, 213a/b and registration in third or fourth year of Honors Psychology Program. General Students and Special Students who receive 70% in the prerequisite course(s) may enrol in this course.
4 lecture-discussion hours, half course.
