Course Description

Political Science 213E Law and Politics in Canada

This course will examine the organization and conduct of the judiciary as a branch of government. A particular focus will be the basic principles of the Canadian Constitution and the extent to which they are shaped by judicial interpretation. The course will also consider how patterns of social action and behavior condition the making of judicial decisions.

Prerequisite: Political Science 020E.
