Course Description

Biology 332a Parasitology

(Given by the Department of Zoology.) Parasitism as a way of life; structures and life histories of selected parasites with emphasis on species affecting humans. The relationships between host and parasite will be stressed in lectures, recognition and identification in the laboratory. Living material will be studied when available.

Prerequisites: Biology 280a and 282b, or permission of the Department.
2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours, half course.
