Course Description

Physics 222a/b Physics for the Biological and Health Sciences II

This course teaches the applications of physical principles to human biology and medicine, following on from Physics 022. Physiological examples and applications are used to develop concepts in elasticity, the physics of waves, and atomic and nuclear physics. Intended for students in the Biological and Health Sciences.

Antirequisites: Physics 020, 024, 025, 026.
Prerequisites: Physics 022. Pre- or Co-Requisites: either Mathematics 030 as prerequisite or Linear Algebra 040a/b as either pre- or co-requisite.
3 lecture hours, 1 tutorial hour, half course.
