Philosophy 149F/G Philosophy of the Emotions

An introduction to important issues in the theory of emotion, such as the role of emotion in behaviour, the rationality of emotion, emotion in ethical decisions. Readings will be drawn from classical and recent philosophers with some attention to the psychology and neuroscience of emotion.

Antirequisite: Philosophy 249F/G.
