Philosophy 024G Big Ideas

Apparently simple conceptions sometimes especially capture our imagination. Examples: Descarte's "I think, therefore I am," McLuhan's "the medium is the message," or Plato's theory of forms. The course examines a great number of these simple ideas that are also the Big Ideas that no educated person should be ignorant of.
