| MME 473a/b Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) |

The objectives of this course are to explore the technologies involved in CIM. Topics include: computing in manufacturing; CIM architectures; product information management; manufacturing planning and control; flexible manufacturing; simulation; quality control. Some industrial case studies will be discussed. |
| Antirequisite: The former ES 473a/b. |
| Prerequisite: Successful completion of a third-year Engineering program or permission of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. |
| 3 lecture hours, 1.5 tutorial hours, half course. |
