Course Description

Applied Mathematics 310a/b Modelling and Simulation

Basic principles of modelling and simulation, description and treatment of deterministic and random processes, computational methods and applications with emphasis on the use of microcomputers. The course will include a major project.

Corequisites: Calculus 251a/b, 281a/b, or equivalent, and Applied Mathematics 261b or the former Applied Mathematics 272a/b, 361b.
3 lecture hours, half course.
