| German 311F/G Literature and Culture of German Classicism and Romanticism. | 
| This course examines representative texts of Classical and Romantic German literature in their cultural context. Major authors studied may include Goethe, Schiller, Heine, Tieck, and E.T.A. Hoffmann. | 
| Antirequisites: The former German 302F/G, 303F/G, 330E and 340E. | 
| Prerequisite: German 250E or permission of the Department. | 
| 3 hours, half course. |
