Course Description

Applied Mathematics 276 Applied Mathematical and Numerical Methods for Electrical Engineering

Topics include: Introduction to MATLAB and numerical analysis; numerical linear algebra; ordinary differential equations including numerical solution and Laplace transforms; Fourier series and transforms; discrete transform; fast Fourier transform with application to signal processing.

Antirequisites: Applied Mathematics 275, 277, and the former Applied Mathematics 270, 272a/b.
Prerequsites: Applied Mathematics 025a/b and 026.
3 lecture hours, 1.5 laboratory hours.
