Award Description

The University of Western Ontario Award in Cardiology

Awarded annually to the student in the final two years completing work in Cardiology who best demonstrates interest and ability in this field as judged by the Department of Medicine. This award has been established by Dr. Lorne S. Finkelstein, through Foundation Western, in honor of a successful heart transplant on his patients, Mr. Maurice Hughes and Mr. John Molinaro, at University Hospital in 1985.
