The Richard Ivey Foundation Continuing Scholarships In Business

a) One scholarship will be awarded to a student entering year one of the HBA program who meets the Academic Excellence Program (AEP) criteria. The AEP offers pre-admission to the Richard Ivey School of Business for outstanding candidates graduating from secondary school. Admission criteria information is available at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Students must also have demonstrated leadership qualities at school and/or in the community and demonstrate financial need. A student may retain this scholarship for year two by achieving an 'A' average in year one and continuing to demonstrate leadership qualities at school and/or in the community and financial need. If a student does not qualify to retain the scholarship for the second year of the HBA program, another student in year two who achieved an 'A' average in year one and has demonstrated leadership qualities at school and/or in the community and financial need will receive the scholarship. Application forms are available at the Office of the Registrar and the Admission Office of the Richard Ivey School of Business and must be completed and returned to the Office of the Registrar not later than September 1st. Final selection will be made by the HBA Scholarship Committee of the Richard Ivey School of Business.

b) One scholarship will be awarded to a student entering year two of the HBA program who acheived an 'A' average in year one and has demonstrated leadership qualities at school and/or in the community and financial need. Application forms are available at the Office of the Registrar and the Admission Office of the Richard Ivey School of Business and must be completed and returned to the Office of the Registrar not later than September 1st. Final selection will be made by the HBA Scholarship Committee of the Richard Ivey School of Business.

c) A third scholarship will provide financial assistance to a student who is in either year of the HBA program, meets the AEP criteria, has demonstrated leadership qualities at school and/or in the community, demonstrates financial need and requires funds to enrich their education through a special opportunity. This can include conducting research, writing cases and/or teaching or studying elsewhere in Canada or abroad. A written proposal (500 words or less) outlining the special opportunity and perceived benefits, must be submitted by the applicant to the Ivey HBA Scholarship Committee not later than October 31st in any given year.

This award will receive matched funding from the Ontario Government through the Student Opportunity Trust Fund.
