Award Description

Homestake Achievement Award

Awarded annually by Homestake Mineral Development Company, the Canadian Branch of Homestake Mining Company of San Francisco, to a student entering the fourth or final year of the Geological Program. The award will be made on the recommendation of the Chair, Department of Earth Sciences, to a student in the top half of the class who exhibits leadership and organizational qualities in both academic and extra-curricular activities, and shows evidence of a long-term interest in economic geology and mining.
