Award Description

Kay MacIver Memorial Award

Awarded to a Faculty of Arts student who is progressing from year three to year four and who has completed five full (or equivalent) courses in the third year of an honors program. Preference would be given to a student with an interest in the field of communications, and who has demonstrated high ideals and broad interests through a significant performance in extra-curricular music, theatre, the arts, student government, service to society, or athletics. This award was established in memory of Kay MacIver by family, friends, and CBC colleagues as a tribute to a remarkable woman, whose warmth and breadth of character, talents and achievements enriched the lives of those who knew and worked with her over her long career in the CBC. Kay MacIver was an alumnus of Western and a distinguished broadcaster.
