President's Entrance Scholarships (11)

The Richard and Jean Ivey Family Scholarship The Dr D. Carlton Williams President's Entrance Scholarship F.K. Ashbaugh Entrance Scholarships (3) G. Edward Hall Presidents Entrance Scholarship plus four others to be named at a later date Awarded annually to outstanding secondary school students from across Canada entering year one studies at The University of Western Ontario. Candidates must have a very strong academic record (minimum 90% or equivalent) and, as well, demonstrate broad interests and leadership qualities through participation in school and/or community activities. Candidates will also be expected to submit a short essay for consideration in the selection process. Candidates must be nominated by their secondary school and all materials supporting the application must be received by The University of Western Ontario by February 14. Candidates will be selected by the University for personal interviews during April. Students nominated for these awards will be considered automatically for The University of Western Ontario Faculty Entrance Scholarships of $4,000 plus first year residence room; students interviewed for these awards will be guaranteed at least a $2,000 one-year National Merit Award. Award winners will be announced before the end of May. Details on these awards and the forms associated with them are available from the Registrar's Office.

$24,000 each ($6,000 annually for four years, plus first year residence room and board fees)*

*Students must meet eligibility requirements for residence; otherwise, a cash award of equal value will be given in lieu of accommodation.
