Enrolment in all modules in Media, Information and Technoculture is limited. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee that students wishing to enter any module in Media, Information and Technoculture will be offered enrolment.
Completion of all first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 72% in 4.0 principal courses, with no mark in any principal course below 60%, and including a minimum grade of 70% in each of Media, Information and Technoculture 1020E or 1021F/G and 1022F/G, and Media, Information and Technoculture 1025F/G.
2.5 courses required in second year: MIT 2000F/G, 2100F/G, 2200F/G, 2500A/B, Writing 2125F/G (or the former Writing 2121F/G).
1.0 course required in third year: MIT 3000A/B and 3100F/G.
3.0 additional courses in MIT at the 2000 level or above.
2.0 additional courses in MIT at the 3000 level or above.
0.5 course required in fourth year from: MIT 4030F/G-4039F/G.
Note: Students who intend to complete their final year of the Honors Specialization on exchange or on Letters of Permission cannot take the 4000-level seminar course during their third year at Western or at the host institution, but must return to Western to complete this course prior to graduation.
